Amanda Palmer - Live at the South Street Seaport Museum
I’ve been a big fan of hers for many years, so it was a privilege to be a part of this fantastic little fundraiser last weekend.
Congrats to the Seaport staff that made this happen.
Had I known as a freshman in college (listening to the Dresden Dolls’ self-titled album excessively on repeat) that I’d someday escort Amanda to her green room and make small talk with her husband (Neil Gaiman) and step-daughter, I probably would have never believed it. Thanks, New York. You’re still pulling through for me time and time again.
Side note: She is a really fantastic human. Down to earth, fun, an engaging performer, and was very courteous to all of the staff at the Museum.

Yes, I was a Unicorn Mermaid this weekend.

Here I am.
This is it. If you call the number to order tickets and mention my name, you’ll get a special discount.
Come on people - 3 hour open bar, dancing, exhibitions open, neat lighting (donated by Stortz Lighting), dessert from Baked by Melissa, and most of all: the feeling of doing good (while dancing the night away and celebrating my last event at MCNY!).
Please join me in saying goodbye.
After party details to follow for those that actually come through. .  ;)

Today’s Thrift Store Find (sort of!): Jill Stuart Cocktail Dress

This dress was featured in Coach’s 65th Anniversary book (styling by Angela Hastings, who I had the fortune of meeting at Astoria Market!). Thank you Angela, I won’t ever regret this purchase!

Today’s Thrift Store Find:

80’s formal dress - just in time for the new year- $180

I stumbled upon Antoinette - who was having a little holiday sale (everything in the store was 10% off). This little number was on the mannequin in the window.

Lexie, who runs the store, sells all pieces that belonged to her mother and aunt. This place is NOT to be missed. More to come from this store very soon.

Lexie, I’ll be back to raid the cocktail dresses in no time.

This night was historical. The love was palpable. I’m so fortunate to have met Anthony and Michael. Their love is incredibly real. To witness it in my career was an honor. Working on this event was truly joyful. To have gained friendship beyond this night has made me feel beyond grateful.

PS: I couldn’t wait to move beyond the proofs! Much love and credit to Zorz Studios for the steal. Real photos coming soon!
